Cappadocia Tour – Two Amazing Days in a Fairyland

Cappadocia attracts millions of visitors every year due to its unique volcanic terrain, with soft rock formations, towers, valleys, and caves. It is also one of the earliest settlements of Christianity, home to incredible historical sites. This guided two-day tour takes you to some of Cappadocia’s most stunning natural and historic locations, including Tatlarin Underground City, Love Valley, Imagination Valley, Pigeon Valley, Dervent Valley, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience a traditional Turkish Night Show and an optional hot air balloon ride over the region for a truly unforgettable adventure.

Day 1: Discover the Heart of Cappadocia

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Side around 05:00 AM in an air-conditioned bus. After a 3-hour journey, we’ll stop for breakfast in Seydişehir town. Once you’ve refueled, the adventure continues as we make our way to Cappadocia, arriving at noon.

First Stop: Tatlarin Underground City
Begin your exploration with a visit to the Tatlarin Underground City, a Byzantine-era marvel filled with tunnels, living spaces, kitchens, chapels, and warehouses. This hidden city is an architectural wonder, offering a glimpse into the ancient ways of life. You’ll also visit the Tatlarin Monastery, one of the first Christian churches in Anatolia.

Lunch in Avanos
We’ll take a break for lunch in Avanos, a town known for its pottery and cultural heritage.

Valleys & Fairy Chimneys
After lunch, explore the Valley of Imagination and Valley of the Monks, both filled with stunning fairy chimneys—unique rock formations that give the region its magical feel. You’ll also visit the Cavushin Village, an ancient Greek settlement carved into the rocks, and the Church of St. John the Baptist, one of the oldest Christian churches in Turkey.

Evening & Accommodation
By 6:30 PM, you’ll check in to your hotel in Ürgüp. Enjoy an open buffet dinner at the hotel, or opt to attend a traditional Turkish Night Show featuring folk dances and oriental music.

Day 2: Explore More of Cappadocia

The second day starts early for those opting to experience the hot air balloon tour. If you choose this, you’ll be transferred to the balloon launch site around 4:30 AM to witness a sunrise flight over the stunning Cappadocian landscape. After the balloon ride or watching the event, return to the hotel for a buffet breakfast at 7:00 AM.

Morning Exploration
Following breakfast, the tour continues with stops at:

Three Graces: A natural formation of three fairy chimneys, one of the region’s most famous landmarks.

Pigeon Valley: Known for its ancient pigeon houses carved into the cliffs.

Dervent Valley: Admire the largest fairy chimneys in Cappadocia, along with churches and rock-hewn dining halls.

Üçhisar Castle
Next, we visit Üçhisar Castle, an ancient fortress offering panoramic views of the entire region. The climb to the top rewards you with an unforgettable view of Cappadocia’s surreal landscape.

Lunch & Departure
After lunch in Konya, we’ll begin our return journey to Side, with a stop at Öresin Han, a historical Seljuk-era inn, before continuing on. We will arrive back in Side around 8:30 PM.
